Stephen Walker brings extensive operations, technology product development, business development and financial experience to his role as Perfect Market's COO.
Before joining Perfect Market, Steve worked at Idealab helping technology startup companies. Most recently, he was managing director of the new ventures group at Idealab, where he sourced, screened and led new product and business concepts.
He was president-COO of Omnilux, an Idealab company that developed and marketed optical wireless networking equipment used by telecom service providers and enterprises to extend fiber to clusters of buildings.
Prior to Omnilux, Steve was VP of business development for MyHome.com, a home furnishings e-tailer founded by Idealab and ultimately sold to eve.com. Steve worked in the corporate strategic planning department at Disney, helping to develop business and product strategy for business units including the Buena Vista Internet Group and also held various product pricing and business development positions at General Electric.
While at GE, he completed Financial Management and Information Systems Management programs. Steve holds a B.S. summa cum laude in computer science and management from Boston College and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
